Employee resource communities, also called affinity groups or employee resource groups, are employee groups that come together voluntarily based on a common interest or background.

The American Indian ERC aims to create a sense of belonging and build camaraderie among American Indian employees and our allies. Through community building, professional development, and service, the American Indian ERC empowers its members to thrive both personally and professionally.

Asian/Asian American/Pacific Islander
The AAPI ERC fosters networking, professional development, awareness, and support for Asian, Asian American, and Pacific Islanders at UNCP. The AAPI group is a space for individuals of Asian and Pacific Islander descent to gather to address and share issues and concerns that impact the group.

This is a voluntary, employee-led group created to provide a safe space for Black/African-American employees to connect, share experiences, and talk about their needs within the institution and through various levels of leadership.

The Hispanic/Latin community develops campus connections with informal gatherings to network and communicate with employees on campus in supporting the UNCP commuity and students.

The LGBTQAI+ ERC provides a supportive space for LGBTQAI+ employees to connect, share experiences, and build community.
