Basic Needs Assistance Form
If you are a UNC Pembroke student who is facing challenges meeting your basic needs, you’re encouraged to fill out the Basic Needs Assistance form. Your submission will be carefully assessed by the Project BN2 team to provide personalized resource recommendations and viable options to help meet your needs. Additionally, there will be an option to meet with someone from the Project BN2 team to discuss your basic needs in greater detail.
Basic needs include transportation, food, housing, health and wellness, childcare, and technology. Please note that if you’re applying for financial assistance and are approved, your financial aid may be impacted.

CARE Resource Center
The UNCP CARE Resource Center includes an on-campus food pantry and professional/business casual clothing closet that is open to students, faculty, staff, and community members.

The Brave Assets Map connects students to resources and services to meet their needs. The map is searchable by need and shows a list of statewide resources.

CAPS
The mission of Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) is to provide clinical mental health services to support the well-being and academic success of students and contribute to a healthy campus climate. This is accomplished by providing individual and group counseling, crisis management, consultation and referral services, and prevention education to the campus community.

CARE Team
The UNC Pembroke CARE Team provides faculty, staff, students, families or any other individual a resource to contact if they have concerns about a student's well-being. CARE Team’s goal is to provide consultation, advocacy, resources and education to help facilitate individual success and cultivate a safe campus environment.

Project BN2 (Brave Nation Basic Needs) is an initiative designed to tackle basic need challenges faced by UNCP students, aiming to eliminate barriers to both academic and personal success. By equipping students with essential life skills, Project BN2 strives to help students achieve their goals and foster an enhanced sense of belonging. This initiative is committed to supporting underserved students by facilitating access to crucial resources that address their specific needs. Through this framework, our goal is to elevate student learning, foster growth and development, and cultivate a heightened sense of belonging within the UNCP community.
