To prepare for advising and registration, be sure to:
Review the Summer/Fall 2024 course schedule.
The schedule will be available for students to review starting Monday, January 29, 2023. You can search the course schedule here.
Check BraveWeb for, and clear any, registration “holds.”
Registration holds are issues that will prevent you from registering! Check BraveWeb for holds and take steps to remove them before your registration date. To view holds, click “Prepare for Registration” located in the Registration tab of the Student Services Dashboard.
Make an appointment with your academic advisor.
All first-year students and students who have not yet declared a major are advised by staff in the Center for Student Success. Other students may be advised by faculty in their major. Check your email and EAB Navigate to see if you have a message from your academic advisor and to find contact information for your advisor. If you don’t know who your academic advisor is or if you haven’t heard from your advisor, please contact the Center for Student Success (css@uncp.edu or 910-521-6625) for advising support and guidance.
Run Your Degree Audit.
Your degree audit will give you detailed information about which requirements/classes you need to fulfill as you make progress towards your degree. You can find instructions for running your degree audit in BraveWeb here.
Meet with your academic advisor.
Your advisor will help determine if your course selection is appropriate for you and provide you with your registration PIN (required for registration).
Register for your courses as soon at the registration window is open for you!
Registering during the week assigned to your group will prevent you from encountering full classes and allow you to have more course options/times than if you wait until later in the semester. See the table below for advising and registration dates.
